Discovery : A Teaching Revolution
As a young student at the MSSW, the twenty-one year old J.M.Sampath was always found immersed in thoughts about " human values and value conflicts", which I thought was too serious an issue to be handled by him at that time.But I was proved wrong. His thoughts ,in later years, turned to be the development of a series of tools for individual and organizational change widely applied in India and in other countries.
At the age of 29, Sampath left an executive job and decided to pursue his passion. He identified a set of stories from various classics and developed into a story book with a series of questions for behavioural change . It was titled DISCOVERY. In its 6th edition,Discovery has been acclaimed as a " Teaching Revolution "by critics in India and abroad.
Dr.Sampath and his highly talented wife Dr.Kalpana Sampth are managing Arpitha Associates which has offices in India and in other countries. And many top companies have been on the client list of Arpitha Associates, and more than 25000 individuals have been benefitted by the Sampaths. Arpitha Associates have constantly been on developing "Value Clarification Tools". Sampath's another well-known volume is the "Inner Realities of Life".
Sampath and Kalpana have founded EFIL (the reverse of LIFE ) to promote Life Education among school children in the 5th to 10th standards. The EQube series of EFIL have been outstanding in sensitizing school children. At 55, the social contribution of Dr.Sampath has only a few parallels,
